AWS Sigv4 (Signature Version 4) is used to authenticate against Amazon Web Services. Paw supports it via Amazon AWS Sigv4 dynamic value extension. The following steps describe how to use this extension in Paw.

Install the extension and add the dynamic value

Download the extension and insert the dynamic value in the Authorization header.

Set the input

Click on the dynamic value to add your credentials. Make sure to set the correct AWS Region and AWS Service. The default values for these fields are us-east-1 and execute-api.

Add X-Amz-Date header

Add X-Amz-Date header¶

Add a second header X-Amz-Date and set it’s value to Timestamp dynamic value. Enter %G%m%dT%H%M%SZ for Format and untick the box for Local Time.
