Note on Paw 3 licenses: Since Paw 3, licenses are attached to a user account (one license per user). Each license allows Paw to run on up to 3 machines. Alternatively, organizations can purchase volume licenses, which will be attached to a team account. Volume licenses offer team admins the ability to invite users and later revoke access.

You can migrate your license from the account page on our website.

Activate Paw

You’re all set. Hit Activate License in Paw, and you should be good to go!

Verify your activation

Optionally, you can verify that your version of Paw is correctly licensed by going to menu Paw ‣ About Paw.

Migrate a volume license¶

Note: this applies for migrating legacy volume licenses, or multiple individual licenses into one Paw 3 volume license.

Transfer licenses to the team

Transfer licenses to the team¶

Your legacy license will be automatically retrieved from your account and email address.

If you have a volume license:

Legacy volume licenses will be migrated into Paw 3 volume licenses. Each user will be able to install Paw on up to 3 machines.
If you have multiple individual licenses:

You can keep up to one individual license for yourself. Other licenses will be transferred to a volume license, and each legacy individual license will be converted to one license seat in the volume license. Each user of the volume license will be able to install Paw on up to 3 machines.

Create a team or pick a team to migrate your volume license to. Once completed, hit Migrate.
